The description of the second coming of the Lord Jesus for his church is found mainly in the book of Revelation in the Bible, specifically in Revelation, chapter 19 verses 11 to 16. This passage gives us a shocking and glorious vision of the coming of Jesus Christ mounted on a white horse.
The Celestial Apparition:
In the sky, suddenly, an open door appears. From that opening, a celestial glow floods the firmament, and a majestic figure is glimpsed among the clouds. The atmosphere is charged with a divine presence that announces the arrival of the King of kings.
Jesus Christ Riding a White Horse:
Descending from the heavens, Jesus Christ, the First and the Last, emerges, riding a white horse, a symbol of purity, victory and justice. His presence radiates a dazzling light, revealing the glory and majesty of him as the Supreme King.
The Celestial Multitude:
Next to him, in the glory of heaven, stands the church, his bride. Dressed in white clothes, a symbol of purity and holiness, the church appears before the Lord in adoration and joy. The heavenly multitude, composed of those who have believed in Jesus throughout the ages, join together in a chorus of praise.
The Sharp Sword:
In Jesus\’ hand, there is a sharp sword, the Word of God, which symbolizes his authority and his righteous judgment. With it, he will execute divine justice and establish his eternal kingdom.
The Flaming Eyes:
Jesus\’ eyes shine like flames of fire, symbolizing his omniscience and discernment. Nothing escapes his knowledge, and his gaze reflects purity and absolute truth.
Kings and Heavenly Armies:
Around him, the heavenly armies, angels and glorified beings who accompany the Lord in his coming gather. His presence shines with power and majesty, ready to fulfill divine will.
The Name and Royal Mantle:
On Jesus\’ garment is written a name that only he knows. This name reveals his divine authority and his sovereignty over everything. Additionally, he wears a royal robe that symbolizes his eternal reign and his position as Lord of lords.
The Word of Judgment and King of Kings:
Jesus Christ, the Word of God, proclaims the Word of judgment upon the nations. He is called \”King of kings and Lord of lords,\” declaring his supremacy over all earthly and heavenly authority.
The second coming of the Lord Jesus for his church is an event of divine magnificence, full of glory and power. The biblical vision reveals to us the majesty of our Savior, who will come to establish his just and eternal kingdom here on earth.
