Seeing my shocked expression, he explained, \”Do you know why I charge you this ten dollars?\” \”No, I don\’t know,\” I replied. \”If I give you this recording, you will think it has no value, and you will probably throw it in the trash or store it somewhere where you will never see or hear it again. But now, you know that this CD is worth $10.00. , and I doubt you want to waste ten dollars like that.\” That invaluable lesson cost me ten dollars, a very small price for all the value and wisdom it represented.
